Abstract
A fuel economy improvement assist device () has: accelerator operation amount detection means (); and display control means () for displaying, on a display device (), a target value corresponding to a target accelerator operation amount and a deviation value of the detected accelerator operation amount from the target accelerator operation amount (). The display control means () calculates an accelerator depression speed based on the detected accelerator operation amount, and variably displays the deviation value in accordance with the calculated accelerator depression speed.
