Abstract
A water base ink for ink-jet recording contains a coloring agent, water, a penetrant, and a surfactant, wherein the penetrant includes diethylene glycol n-hexyl ether (A), the surfactant includes an acetylene glycol-based surfactant (B) and sodium polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate (B), and (A), (B), and (B) are blended at ratios respectively to fulfill a predetermined condition. Accordingly, the water base ink for ink-jet recording is provided, which is excellent in the permeability, the vaporization characteristic, and the water repellence and which does not deteriorate any resin material forming a casing or the like of an ink jet recording apparatus.
