Abstract

A ceiling fan () is suspended from a mounting bracket () by a down rod () and a canopy () is provided for concealing the mounting bracket (). The canopy () has a lower end () with apertures () for mounting the ceiling fan () directly to the canopy () in alternative mounting configurations. A cover () is provided for concealing the apertures () in the canopy (). The cover () has a collar () which extends through a down rod opening () in the canopy (), and has a plurality of protuberances () which secure the cover () to the lower end () of the canopy () in a snap engagement. A lip portion () upwardly extends from the cover () to provide a spacer for locating the protuberances () adjacent to an upper side of the lower end () of the canopy ().
