Abstract

During traveling a vehicle, an on-vehicle unit control circuittransmits regularly a mobile unit verification encryption code stored in a storage partof an on-vehicle unitto a mobile unit; a transmission circuitof the mobile unitreplies a response signal to the on-vehicle unitevery time the verification code is received; and the control circuitof the on-vehicle unitupdates and stores vehicle environmental information in the storage partupon receiving the response signal, and if the on-vehicle unitcannot receive any response signal from the mobile unit, a driver is notified with display lamp, hazard lamp, or alarm buzzerthat the response signal has not been received.
