Abstract

This invention relates to a hair dyeing composition comprising at least one anionic and at least one cationic direct acting hair dyes and showing excellent dyeing ability and excellent resistance to hair washing and environmental influences. The coloring composition of this invention are ready to use coloring composition and, therefore, do not require any mixing prior to application with additional agents such as oxidizers. According to the invention the preferred cationic dyestuffs are selected from the following structures wherein R, R, Rand Rstand for hydrogen, a CH— or CH— group, and Y is an anion such as chloride, bromide, methosulfate.
