Abstract
A linear actuator capable of making a bed flat in emergencies is provided. A sub-shaftlinking to the worm reduction gear, an inner racecoupled by a spline on the sub-shaft, an engaging pinand an engaging notchprovided between the shaftand the inner raceto allow free linking, an operating ringfitting for free rotation on the outer circumference of a housing, and a function ringfor converting the rotation of the operating ringto an axial movement and transmitting it to the inner raceare installed on a linear actuatorcontaining a shaftwith a male screw, a worm reduction gear for transmitting the rotation of a motorto the shaft, a nutthat is coupled by a screw to the male screwand advances or retreats by the forward rotation of the shaftand advances or retreats by the reverse rotation of the shaft, and a moving cylinderthat is fixed to the nutand advances and retreats relative to the housing. In emergencies, the shaftcan rotate freely by releasing the link between the engaging notch and the engaging pin.
