Abstract

The invention relates to a clamping device () for connecting a saw blade () to a reciprocating rod () of a jig saw, in particular a hand-operated compass saw (), comprising a mounting (), which is connected to the reciprocating rod () and has a recess () for receiving a head end () of the saw blade (), a locking sleeve (), which can be turned about the axis () with respect to the mounting () against the force of a torsion spring () to lock the head end () of the saw blade () in a locking position in the recess () and to allow removal of the saw blade () in a removal position. It is intended that a stop () interacts with a part () of the torsion spring (), in order to prevent movement of the locking sleeve () beyond the removal position.
