Abstract

Antennas () for RFID tags are made to exhibit circular polarization to give the tag an omnidirectional characteristic. The antennas are crossed dipoles () with respective feed points (). The signal source () is coupled to a splitter () having output leads () directly coupled to the feed point () of dipole (). The other output leads () from splitter () are coupled to a delay line () with the delayed output coupled to a feed point () of dipole ().
