Abstract
The present invention aims at achieving the object of keeping a contact housing portion liquid tight sealed and to improve the durability of a switch apparatus. A switch apparatus according to the present embodiment includes: a switch caseincluding a contact housing portiontherein and a shaft hole; a rodwhose outer flange portionis capable of axially abutting on and engaging with a periphery portionof a detecting plate; a first return springbiasing the rodin the direction opposite to protruding direction; a fixed contactin the switch caseand a movable contactwhich can reciprocally move between a position touching the fixed contactand a non-touching position; a diaphragmseparating the shaft holefrom the contact housing portionand being formed of rubber; a movable basesupporting the movable contactand abutting on the diaphragm; a second return springbringing the movable contactinto contact with the fixed contact; and a retention memberinterposed between the diaphragmand the rod, including an abutting portionfor abutting on the rod, and axially movably, but not rotatably supported with respect to the switch case
