Abstract
A functional fluid comprising a base oil with a high viscosity index, wherein the functional fluid has a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. between 2.5 and 5.0 mm/s, a low Brookfield viscosity, a high aniline point, and excellent air release. Shock absorber fluids with improved performance, comprising a particular base oil, wherein the improved performance includes high viscosity index, low Brookfield viscosity, high aniline point, excellent air release and high flash point.
