Abstract
For forming the separating lines, () which are produced in the functional layers () deposited on a transparent substrate () during manufacture of a photovoltaic module with series-connected cells (C, C, . . . ), there are used laser scanners () whose laser beam () produces in the field () scanned thereby a plurality of adjacent separating line sections () in the functional layer (). The laser scanners () are then moved relative to the coated substrate () in the direction (Y) of the separating lines () by a distance corresponding at the most to the length (L) of the scanned field () to thereby form continuous separating lines () through mutually flush separating line sections ().
