Abstract
A method for producing steel products () with optimum surface quality wherein the molten steel () is produced in a process route () that is selected according to a desired final microstructure (), by melting in a furnace () with an electrode system (), and in a vacuum degassing system; or by melting in a furnace installation () or an individual furnace vessel (), in a ladle furnace (), and in a differential-pressure vacuum degassing system (); or by melting in a furnace () with additions of alloying materials (), a partial-quantity degassing in the ladle furnace (), or a vacuum degassing system () and a ladle degassing ().
