Abstract
The display device is provided with: a display panel that displays an image; a circuit boardthat is disposed on a back surface of the display panel; a plurality of LED chipsthat are disposed in an array on the circuit boardand that emit light to the display panel; and a lensof a hemispherical shape that is disposed on the circuit boardand that covers each of the plurality of LED chips. A following relationship is established: R/0.281≦L, where Ldenotes an array pitch of LED chipsconstituting the plurality of LED chips, and Rdenotes a radius of the lens. Accordingly, a light-emitting device achieving a high degree of light utilization efficiency and an excellent degree of color mixing, and a display device using the light-emitting device are provided.
