Abstract
A rotation/linear motion converting mechanism includes a shafthaving an external threadon an outer circumferential surface, a nuthaving an internal threadon an inner circumferential surface, and a rollerarranged between the outer circumferential surface of the shaftand the inner circumferential surface of the nut. The roller has a threadthreaded to the external threadand the internal thread. A spur gearand a spur gearare provided in portions of the roller. A spur gearis provided in a portion of the shaft. The spur gearis meshed with the spur gearof the roller. Internal teethare provided in a portion of the nut. The internal teethare meshed with the spur gearof the roller. This improves the lead accuracy of the shaftwhen the nutis rotated.
