Abstract
A handheld power tool has a housing, a tool receptacle, a motor having a motor shaft, an intermediate shaft, an element for transmitting a rotation of the motor shaft to a rotary motion of the intermediate shaft, a drive mechanism for a tool insertable into the tool receptacle, the drive mechanism being provided with an element for converting the rotary motion of the intermediate shaft into a rotary motion of the tool receptacle and an element for converting the rotary motion into the intermediate shaft into a hammering motion of the tool receptacle, wherein the motor shaft is coaxial with the intermediate shaft, and there is an element for coupling the motor shaft to the intermediate shaft.
