Abstract
A packing installation having a handling head () with replaceable tulip-like gripping tools () connected by couplers (). The installation has a magazine () with separate groups of tools () and a several presentation units () for the tools. The presentation units () have a spindle () to accommodate the tools (). The spindle () is a floating type to give some flexibility and to engage the tools () not only during the depositing operation, but also during the gripping operation. The magazine () is mobile and is mounted on tracks () to move between its inactive position, away from the field of action of the bottle handling head (), and its active position within the field of action of the head () and in particular at the station () where the bottles are picked up by the head ().
