Abstract

An antenna array () for the transmission of signals () is disclosed. The antenna array () comprises: a plurality of transmission paths (---K) for transmitting a plurality of wanted signals () and at least one calibration signal generator (--,-K) for the generation of at least one calibration signal (). A plurality of calibration signal mixers (---K) mixes the at least one calibration signal () with the plurality of wanted signals () to produce a plurality of transmission signals (). A path sum signal device () sum the plurality of transmission signals () to produce a summed transmission signal (); and an interference estimator () accepts the at least one calibration signal () and generates an estimated interference signal (). An estimation signal mixer () subtracts from the summed transmission signal () the estimated interference signal () to produce a difference signal (); and a on signal detection unit () for comparing the signal () with the at least one calibration signal ().
