Abstract
A frequency synthesizer () can selectively set an output band of VCO, and consumes less power. The frequency synthesizer () has a frequency converting circuit () that has a mixer () and a frequency divider () connected with each other in parallel. The frequency synthesizer () uses the frequency divider () upon frequency band selection in VCO () and uses the mixer () upon transmission.
