Abstract
Procedure for determining the electrical drive speed (ω) and/or position (φ) in a permanent magnet rotor of a brushless electrical linear or rotary motor from a measurement of a multi-phase stator current (i,i). Speed is determined using a mathematical motor model (). From the influence of a rotor reverse EMK that affects the stator current (i,i) conclusions are made about the rotor speed (ω) and/or position (φ) and an appropriate model speed value () is generated.
