Abstract

The invention concerns a respiratory tube () enclosed, at least over the major part of its length, in an inflatable flexible protective sheath () for isolating, from said flexible tube, the mucous membranes of the patient's airways. Further, the protective sheath () enables a patient to be ventilated with a breathing mixture.
