Abstract
The cut-out tool () includes an insert adaptor () configured to insert into and be secured within a utility receptacle () prior to sheeting material () overlying the receptacle (), such as an electric receptacle (). The insert adaptor () defines a mounting sleeve (), and whenever the sheeting material () is secured over the receptacle () and insert (), an insert hole () is cut adjacent and around an interior perimeter of the mounting sleeve (). A mounting post () of an exterior template () is then secured within the mounting sleeve (), and the exterior template () defines a cutting slot () that is dimensioned to contiguously and substantially overlie an exterior perimeter () of the receptacle (). A cut is them made through the cutting slot () to define a template hole (), and the sheeting material () then slides over the receptacle ().
