Disclosed is an amide compound represented by the following formula (1). (1) (In the formula, Xrepresents a fluorine atom or a methoxy group; Xrepresents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C-Calkyl group or the like; Z represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; and A represents an A-CRRRgroup, an A-Cygroup or an A-Cygroup, wherein Arepresents a CHgroup or the like, Arepresents a single bond, a CHgroup or the like, Cyrepresents a C-Ccycloalkyl group substituted with a C-Calkoxy group or the like, Cyrepresents a C-Ccycloalkyl group which may be substituted with at least one halogen atom or the like, Rand Rindependently represent a C-Calkyl group, and Rrepresents a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group or the like.) The amide compound has excellent plant disease controlling activity.
