A spreading agent for agricultural chemicals, said spreading agent comprising at least one of the glycerol-modified silicone represented by the following formula (1), (2) or (3), wherein Rcan be the same with or different from each other and is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, and fluorinated alkyl groups each having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, p is an integer of from 1 to 3, q is an integer of 1 or 2, and r is an integer of from 0 to 6.
