Abstract

A housing can be secured to a motor vehicle and has a first housing portion () and a second housing portion () which can be connected thereto. To integrate a pedestrian protection function and to provide a defined relative movement of the housing portions in relation to each other, it is proposed to provide on the first housing portion an elongate support element (), which is connected with a proximal end to the first housing portion and has a distally disposed effective end having an effective cross-section (), and the second housing portion () includes an elastic fixing element with a through opening, the inside diameter of which is smaller than the effective cross-section.
