Abstract
A semiconductor chip () comprises a semiconductor body () having a semiconductor layer sequence having an active region () provided for generating radiation. A contact () is arranged on the semiconductor body (). An injection barrier () is formed between the contact () and the active region (). A method for producing a semiconductor chip is also disclosed.
