Abstract

A terminal () has a terminal main body () with a projection () to be engaged with a retainer (). A wire barrel () to be crimped to a core () of a wire (), an insulation barrel () to be crimped to an insulating coating () and a rubber plug barrel () to be crimped to a rubber plug () are successively arranged behind the main body (). Bottom parts of the wire barrel () and the insulation barrel () are at low positions having substantially the same height. A front end of the wire barrel () is crimped flat to suppress bend-up of the core (). The front end of the crimped wire barrel () is insertable to a position facing a projecting end of the retainer () when the terminal () is inserted to a proper position in a cavity () of a housing ().
