Abstract
A modular jack () includes a housing (), a number of RJ contacts () received in the housing (), and a rotatable spacer () positioning the RJ contacts (). The housing () defines a first mating cavity () for receiving an electrical plug () for establishing electrical connection therebetween. The housing () has a first side wall (), a second side wall () opposite to the first side wall () and an inner wall () defining said first mating cavity (). The RJ contacts () are fastened to the second side wall (). Each of the RJ contacts () has a flexible cantilever contacting portion () and a free end (). The rotatable spacer () has a pivot () fixed to the second side wall (), and a comb portion () rotatable with the pivot () and positioning the free ends () of the RJ contacts ().
