Abstract
A paper-sheet handling device, as shown in FIG., is a device that transports a bundle of paper-sheets obtained by binding a plurality of paper-sheets and is provided with a clamp movement mechanismthat contains lower armsand upper armsand transports the bundle of paper-sheets with it being fixed. The clamp movement mechanismcontains a clamp-opening-and-closing driving sectionthat drives the upper arms, the clamp-opening-and-closing driving sectionis provided with cams, and each of the camscontains a part having a given curved shape, the part keeping a normal operation range in which the upper armis moved up to a predetermined position with respect to the lower armto release the bundle of paper-sheets″ and a U-shaped part that keeps a lock position for opening the clamp, the U-shaped part being continuous with the part having the given curved shape. Such a configuration allows a situation in which the upper armsare opened to be locked. This enables workability and operability when a jam removes to be improved and enables release of the lock of a manipulation lever to be prevented from being forgotten.
