Abstract

Disclosed is a novel epoxy-amine composition modified a hydroxyalkyl urethane, which is obtained as a result of a reaction between a primary amine (C) and a monocyclocarbonate (C), wherein modifier (C) is represented by the following formula (1): wherein Ris a residue of the primary amine, Rand Rare the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of H, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, and n satisfies the following condition: n≧2. Diluents, pigments and additives can be used. Doping with the hydroxyalkyl-urethane modifier imparts to the cured composition superior coating performance characteristics, such as pot-life/drying, strength-stress, bonding, appearance, resistance to abrasion and solvents, etc., in a well-balanced state.
