Abstract

In one aspect, the present invention provides a novel thiophene-containing polynitrone compound having structure (II) wherein Ris independently at each occurrence a C-Caliphatic radical, a C-Ccycloaliphatic radical, or a C-Caromatic radical; Ris independently at each occurrence hydrogen, deuterium, a C-Caliphatic radical, a C-Ccycloaliphatic radical, or a C-Caromatic radical; and 'a' is an integer from 2 to 4.
