Abstract
In a method for producing optical elements, material on a blank () is removed with an abrasive liquid jet (). The liquid jet () has a jet thickness (d) which is greater than the dimension (D) of the blank () in a plane (E) perpendicular to the direction (R) of the liquid jet. Predefined removal profiles in aspherical form can be achieved by the liquid jet () being guided onto the blank () at different angles of incidence (α).
