Abstract

A front passenger seat airbag apparatusincludes an airbag, a casesupporting the airbag, and an airbag covercovering the airbag. The caseincludes a tubular inner wall portion. A plurality of claw portionsare arranged along a vehicle widthwise direction on the upper edge of a front inner walland a rear inner wallof the tubular inner wall portion. The airbag coverincludes a tubular outer wall portionhaving a plurality of engaging holes. The tubular outer wall portionis engaged with the caseby inserting and engaging the claw portionsin the engaging holes. The front inner walland the rear inner walleach include connected portions, to each of which a claw portionis connected, and non-connected portions, to which no claw portionis connected, along the arrangement direction of the claw portions. Two non-connected portionsare located on both sides of each connected portion. At least one of the non-connected portionshas cutout portionsthat extend from the upper end of the corresponding inner wall to a position lower than the tipsA of the claw portions
