Abstract

A multilayer blow molded container having a layer structure that a polyglycolic acid layer is provided as a core layer, and thermoplastic polyester resin layers are arranged as inner and outer layers, wherein the core layer formed of the polyglycolic acid layer is not present between the inner and outer layers in at least part of an opening end portion of the container, and the core layer formed of the polyglycolic acid layer is not present between the inner and outer layers in at least part of a bottom of the container, wherein the melt viscosity x of a polyglycolic acid forming the polyglycolic acid layer is 300 to 900 Pa·s as measured at a temperature of 270° C. and a shear rate of 122 sec, the melt viscosity y of a thermoplastic polyester resin forming the thermoplastic polyester resin layers is 250 to 600 Pa·s as measured at a temperature of 290° C. and a shear rate of 122 sec, and a melt viscosity ratio x/y between both melt viscosities is 0.85 to 1.80, and a production process thereof.
