Abstract
A separation apparatus (A) separates particulates such as sand from a slurry of water/sand/manure. Particularly, passage () receives the slurry and injectors () assist the slurry over ramp () and aid in separating the sand and organic material from the slurry. The sand proceeds through a discharge () and preferably a counter flow of sanitizer from sterilizing passage () proceeds through the sand. Cleaned and sanitized sand is temporarily stored in a collector ().
