Abstract
A drive joint mechanism includes a drive shaft () and a driven shaft () coupled coaxially to the drive shaft (). A coupling () on the drive shaft () or the driven shaft () has pin-engaging grooves () and at least one pyramid-shaped pin-guide () between adjacent pin-engaging grooves (). An engagement pin () is provided on the other of the drive shaft () and the driven shaft () and engages the pin-engaging groove (). The engagement pin () contacts the pin-guide () while coupling the drive shaft () and the driven shaft (). Thus, at least one of the drive shaft () and the driven shaft () is rotated by a pressing force exerted in the axial direction by the driven shaft () so that the pin-guide () guides the engagement pin () into the pin-engaging groove ().
