Abstract
An electrostatic coating system () comprising a coating gun () for spraying a coating material toward an article () to be coated, and a robot arm () for moving the coating gun () with respect to the article () to be coated wherein a voltage is applied to the coating gun (). A needle-like electrode () which is an electrostatic electrode having a pointed end applied with a voltage having the same polarity as that of the voltage applied to the coating gun (), is attached to the coating gun () or the robot arm ().
