Abstract

An aqueous external preparation for scalp, that is directly applied to the scalp to improve the elasticity and luster of newly grown or growing hair without affecting the safety or the feeling of touch of the hair, contains the following components (a) a eucalyptus extract; (b) a blood flow enhancer; (c) an anti-inflammatory agent; (d) an acrylic acid/C10-30 alkyl acrylate copolymer; and (e) ethanol. The blood flow enhancer (b) is preferably selected from the group consisting ofextract, vitamin E, nicotinic acid and derivatives thereof. The anti-inflammatory agent (c) is preferably glycyrrhetin or derivatives thereof.
