Abstract

A pad () is particularly suited for separating or restraining cargo and includes a top sheet surface () having longitudinally extending spaced ribs () forming a plurality of recesses () therebetween. A pattern of lugs () is formed in the recesses (). The pad () also includes a bottom sheet surface () having longitudinally extending spaced ribs () forming a plurality of recesses () therebetween. A pattern of notches () is formed in the ribs (), and the pad () may nest with a like pad () by placing the lugs () in the notches (). The pads () may stack to form a thicker pad by positioning the ribs () of one pad () in the recesses () of a like pad (). A flange () extends outwardly from one of the edges of the sheet surface () which assists in preventing the pad () from sliding when in use.
