Abstract

The invention relates to a flexible display () comprising a frontplane (), positioned on top of the backplane (). Preferably, the frontplane () is laminated on top of the backplane (). The flexible display () further comprises a bonding area (). In accordance to the invention the frontplane () extends over an area () substantially corresponding with the bonding area (). Preferably, the frontplane in the region of the bonding are () is provided with spacings () for arrangement of suitable electrical contacts for enabling a connectivity to the array of electronic pixels and/or to the array of electro-optic elements. The spacings () may be of any suitable shape being arranged individually or being interconnected with each-other to form a sole spacing on top of the bonding area ().
