Abstract
The invention relates to an alternating voltage generator () comprising a direct voltage source () that supplies a power bus, a bus capacitor () connected to the power bus, an inverter module () supplied by the power bus and equipped with several normally-on JFET power transistors () in order to deliver an alternating voltage. The generator () comprises a current limiting normally-on JFET transistor () which is located on the power bus in series between the bus capacitor () and the inverter module (), the limiting current of the limiting transistor () being less than the limiting current of each of the power transistors ().
