Abstract

A K type of copolyarylborane: wherein hydrogen atoms are bonded to the ends; Arrepresents at least one of Ar, Ar, and Ar; each of Arand Arrepresents an arylene radical; Arrepresents an heteroaromatic arylene radical; Arhas a π electron density of no less than that of benzene; Aris capable of hole transport; Arhas a π electron density of no greater than that of benzene and less than that of Ar; x, y, and z respectively represent the molar parts of Ar, Ar, and Ar; each of x, y, and z is in the range of 0-1, and x+y+z=1; and R represents an aryl radical. This K type of copolyarylborane may be of use for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), organic solar cells, organic photodetectors, and organic field-effect transistors.
