Abstract

The present invention provides a lighting system with a color indicator surface (). The surface receives light via a cover () of the lighting system, mainly through internal reflection. Hence, the light from the light sources, here at least two different colored LEDs (), is guided away from the main light emitting surface (), such that well-mixed light with a lower intensity may be used to determine the color of the light. The color indicator surface may be a surface () of the cover (), or may be a surface () of a separate outer part (). The lighting system may be used to illuminate objects in houses, shops and so on. The color indicator surface provides a convenient and easily accessible color reference.
