Abstract
The oscillating weight () is for automatically winding a timepiece movement; it pivots off-center relative to the center of the movement and is made of a single heavy material. The weight () is carried by a shock absorber () that takes the form of a plate (), one end of which is secured to the weight and the other end of which is secured to a tube () arranged to rotate about an arbour () forming the axis of rotation of the weight.
