Abstract
The invention relates to complexes of certain flavonoid derivatives, of the formula (I), where Rand Rare selected from H and OR, where ORstands, independently of one another, for OH, straight-chain or branched C- to C-alkoxy groups, straight-chain or branched C- to C-alkenyloxy groups, straight-chain or branched C- to C-hydroxyalkoxy groups, where the hydroxyl group(s) may be bonded to a primary or secondary carbon atom in the chain and furthermore the alkyl chain may also be interrupted by oxygen, and/or C- to C-cycloalkoxy groups and/or C- to C-cycloalkenyloxy groups, where the rings may in each case also be bridged by —(CH)— groups, where n=1 to 3, and/or mono- and/or oligoglycosyl radicals, with the proviso that at least one radical from Rand Rstands for OR, and Rto Rmay be identical or different and stand, independently of one another, for radicals which are substantially inert with respect to the UV properties, to compositions which comprise such complexes, to corresponding processes for the preparation of the complexes or the compositions comprising the latter, and to the use thereof, in particular for the care, preservation or improvement of the general condition of the skin or hair and for light protection.
