Abstract

An interference fit assembly () is made of a first metal part (), which has a recess () with an inner contact surface () and a second metal part () arranged in the recess () of the first metal part (), wherein the second metal part has an outer contact surface (). The inner contact surface () of the first metal part is in contact with the outer contact surface () of the second metal part (), and at least one of the contact surfaces () features a layer (), which is made of a material, which differs from the material of the first metal part () and the material of the second metal part () and which comprises nickel or copper.
