The invention concerns a method for fast determination of the quality of the radio link from a mobile terminal (STA) to an access point (AP) in a Wireless Local Area Network whereby after having received a probe request message (PRU) from the mobile terminal (STA), the access point (AP) does not send a probe response message (PRE) to said mobile terminal (STA), a mobile terminal (STA), an access point (AP) and program modules therefore.
