Abstract
To provide a portable terminal which can detect the using modes of the portable terminal, can reduce the number of members necessary for detecting the using modes and further can reduce leakage magnetic force badly influencing on other devices. A portable terminalincludes a first casingand a second casinghaving inner side surfacescapable of opposing to each other, respectively, and a hingefor coupling the first casingand the first casing. The first casingis provided with magnetic materialsand the casingis provided with magnetic sensorsfor detecting the magnetic materials, respectively. The magnetic sensorsand the magnetic materialsdetect the using modes including a folded state or a bent state of the first casingand the casing
