Abstract

The present invention provides a useful and highly safe agent for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which contains, as the effective ingredient, at least one compound selected from the group consisting of thiazole derivatives and salts thereof represented by the general formula (1), wherein, Ris a phenyl group which may have 1 to 3 lower alkoxy groups as the substituents on the phenyl ring; Ris a pyridyl group which may have 1 to 3 carboxyl groups as the substituents on the pyridine ring.
