Abstract
A plasma display panel has front plate () and back plate () that are faced to each other. The front plate has a display electrode, a dielectric layer, and a protective layer on a front glass substrate, and the back plate has an address electrode, a barrier rib, and a phosphor layer on a back glass substrate. The periphery of the front and back plates is sealed with sealing material () to form discharge space. Sealing material () contains, as a glass component, bismuth oxide and at least one of molybdenum oxide and tungsten oxide.
