Abstract
In the imaging apparatus of the invention, a camera assemblyincluding a camerais mounted on and supported by a basein a pivotally rotatable manner in a vertical direction to allow tilting motions of the camera. First through fourth rollersthroughprovided in an assembly fixation structureof the basesupport the camera assemblyto allow pivotal rotation of the camera assembly. The driving force of a tilting motorbuilt in a pedestal plate unitof the assembly fixation structureis transmitted to frame side faces of the camera assemblyvia a tilting worm gear shaftand a tilting rotation gearto allow the tilting motions of the camera frame. This arrangement of the invention enables further downsizing of the whole imaging apparatus applied to, for example, a security camera.
